Scott Weiland was an American singer, songwriter and Grammy Award winner. He was born on October 27, 1967 in San Jose, California. He started his first band while attending High School. He went on to form the band, Mighty Joe Young, in 1987, which later evolved into the ‘Stone Temple Pilots’. The group released their debut album, Core, in 1992. After several album releases, the group disbanded in 2003. Weiland then joined the rock band, Velvet Revolver, and their debut album, Contraband, was released in 2004. Since it’s release, Contraband has sold more than three million copies worldwide. He left ‘Velvet Revolver’ in 2008 and reunited with ‘Stone Temple Revolver’.
